An honest pro. Would like to see the youngsters (Rice, Oxford) get a chance to play alongside him before he goes. Part of me hopes he gets another year.

Not the most skilful but would put himself between an Exocet missile if it was heading towards the goal. I have genuine man love for the fellow.

Played his early Cardiff games as a centre forward, so we can sell Ayew, Carroll and Hernandez...

Re: the James (aka Ginger Pele) Collins appreciation thread
I'll hold my hands up, I've slated him many times on here over the years but as far as I'm concerned he's WHU through and through, he's still limited as a defender as he still does the same things he's always done but he gives 100% so you can't ask for more.
Plus in interviews he's spoken highly of us and intelligently.

Love the geezer..and he loves us.

When you think how long he's been with us from his first spell as a young man alongside Gabbidon.

Will go down as a WHU legend imo. .it's not always about talent alone..

Top man

I really like Collins as a player. A solid defender. Seems like a decent bloke too.

Gavros,
Good post mate.Is Ginge worthy of West Ham Legend status?

Yeah, all day long, been a great loyal player over the years.

Re: the James (aka Ginger Pele) Collins appreciation thread
He gives everything he has and has a decent intelligence that hides his lack of pace, he is also a bald Ginger who loves West ham, what else could you want from a 34 year old player.

LEGEND !

And Joe Cole's second spell was worthy of being forgotten. Didn't quite manage it...

Lucky to get him back.

Most successful return, given that Dicks, McAvennie and Hutchison were much better in their first spells?
